In 2018, NJ workers won the right to guaranteed paid sick days when we passed the Earned Sick and Safe Leave law, which gives workers the right to earn 40 hours or 5 days of paid sick time a year. However, many workers, including BIPOC workers, service workers, lower-wage and hourly workers, and LGBTQ+ workers lack access to paid sick leave. This leaves them to choose between making a living and caring for themselves or a loved one.

Together, we can help increase awareness and access to Earned Sick Days for all. Join us for a virtual convening on December 7, 2022, to discuss what the law provides, and what research shows is really happening on the ground.
